Chef Gigi came from humble beginnings. Being raised by a single immigrant mother, she spent most of her time growing up in the kitchens her mother worked in. She spent most of my time trying to figure out the ingredients being used. The chef started to teach her and gave her chores that would soon make the servers life much easier. Chef Gigi would make sure the plate presentation was as shown at the beginning of each shift. This opened her creative side.
After high school she worked as a server which started her journey into figuring out her life path. She enrolled into culinary school and began her new journey. Chef Gigi has worked along some amazing chefs including Chef Jaimie, the owner of Hank’s Oyster Bar, open her first restaurant. Chef Gigi has worked at the convention center where she cooked for both of the Obama inaugurations and after working in the field for over 10 years, she decided to start her own private chef business. She started the SDQ (side dish queen) Lyfestyle & Experience. Her business focuses on helping foodies find the best version of yourself through a healthier relationship with food. She takes pride in cooking with seasonal & high quality ingredients to create fresh flavors.
